Hollywood's leading ladies showed out for the 2015 SAG Awards, and you better believe we noticed standout looks for every age-set.

20s:
Ah, to be young and stunning on the red carpet: We noted that the ladies in their 20s favored naked necklines, sheer overlay dresses and figure-hugging silhouettes. Emma Stone, 26, sported one of the most experimental looks of the night (and yep, it paid off), wearing a Dior tuxedo-style gown with a sheer tulle skirt (all the better to see those sexy ankle-strap Christian Louboutin heels with). Keira Knightley went for a tiered purple Erdem confection, which brought attention to the 29-year-old actress' growing baby bump. Emmy Rossum, meanwhile, sported an Armani Privé gown that made time stand still (for us at least): the gorgeous gray-and-gold number was a stunning (and somewhat unexpected) choice for the 28-year-old Shameless tar.

Emilia Clarke, 27, and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, 29, went for the most structured looks of the set: Emilia donned a black-and-navy Donna Karan Atelier dress (we imagine the jersey fabric was ultra-comfortable), while Kaley took to the carpet in a tomato-red Romona Keveza column gown with a shimmering and (cinching) bow at the waist.

30s:
Leave it to the ladies in their 30s to serve timeless glam on the red carpet. We were taken with 31-year-old Felicity Jones' pale pink Balenciaga frock, which stood out as a classic and relatively demure choice during an awards season chock full of skin-baring gowns. Reese Witherspoon, 38, also made a ladylike appearance (natch), wearing a one-shoulder Giorgio Armani confection in this season's staple red carpet hue: winter white. Rashida Jones went for a flirty print on the SAG Awards red carpet: The 38-year-old donned an Emanuel Ungaro dress with sky-blue piping along the bodice.

In the sweeping gown department, Lupita Nyong'o, 31, wore a boldly striped and printed Elie Saab number, while 34-year-old Joanne Froggatt (in a mermaid-style gown by Honor) proved that a plunging neckline and high-drama skirt could be chic, breathtaking and effortless at once.

40s:
The ladies in their 40s, meanwhile, went for form-fitting frocks in vibrant colors and contrasting textures. Sofía Vergara stunned in a vampy Donna Karan Atelier gown, which hugged her famous curves in all the right places (really, did you expect otherwise from the 42-year-old siren?). Jennifer Aniston, 45, wowed in a vintage John Galliano gown that showcased a plunging neckline and her new favorite body necklace, a style she also wore to the 2015 Critics' Choice Awards. Patricia Arquette, 46, went for emerald in a custom Vivienne Westwood gown, which showed just enough of the Boyhood star's décolletage. Naomi Watts' slim-fitting navy Balenciaga look was both subtle and sexy, even when the 46-year-old tripped over co-star Emma Stone's dress on stage for Birdman's big win.

Ah voilà: Viola Davis, that is. The actress stunned in a custom Max Mara halter gown, especially when she took to the stage to accept her Actor for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor. The How to Get Away With Murder star gave a poignant speech, remarking, "It starts from the top up, so I'd like to thank Paul Lee, Shonda Rhimes, Besty Beers and Pete Nowalk for thinking that a sexualized, messy, mysterious woman could be a 49-year-old dark skinned African-American woman who looks like me." 50s and over:
And we couldn't take our eyes off the over-50s set, for good reason: Take Julianne Moore, 54, whose slim-fitting Givenchy gown with emerald appliqués was one of the most eye-catching looks of the night. Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Monique Lhuillier was demure but also sexy, thanks to those sheer lace sleeves. The 54-year-old's trim figure was also on full display in the body hugging black confection. Edie Falco, 51, went for a red siren look in her Randi Rahm dress, which she paired with gold jewelry and a matching Amanda Pearl box clutch.

And onto the ladies in black: Meryl Streep, 65, donned a simple black midi dress featuring long sleeves and a plunging neckline. The actress wore sheer black tights and platform pumps with her understated LBD. Joan Collins, of course, went a little more glam—sporting a glittering black gown with a trendy thigh-high slit. The 81-year-old screen legend looked incredible in ombré pumps, brick red lips and black gloves.
