Whoa, are Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) actually pulling this off?!

And by this, we mean taking the currently-kind-of-sad New Directions and making them a real show choir contender in Glee's final season.

At the end of last week's episode, the four members of ND were left speechless and intimidated after seeing just how good Vocal Adrenaline was when they performed at the invitational.

But it looks like the underdogs have some serious fight in them as we've got your exclusive first listen to one of the team's covers...and it's really good!

Check out New Direction's take on George Michael's hit song "Father Figure" from Friday's all-new episode, "The Hurt Locker, Pt. 2," with our exclusive sneak peek above.

And if the group sounds a bit louder than it has in the first couple of episodes, it's because there might just be two new members, as Rachel (Lea Michele) turns to former member Kitty (Becca Tobin) for help with the set list, while Sam (Chord Overstreet) attempts to recruit gay football player Spencer (Marshall Williams). And while Spencer has been a bit of a jerk so far, Williams told E! News, "I think with the scenes coming up, [fans]'ll definitely start warming up and seeing that he has a vulnerable side to him."

When we chatted with Noah Guthrie (Roderick), who is singling lead on "Father Figure," we asked if there's been any talk of a possible spinoff with the newbies after Glee ends this season. "I have no idea," he said. "I'd be open to it! It'd be great!"

Glee airs Fridays at 9 p.m. on Fox.
