Another awards show, another red carpet.

The 2015 People's Choice Awards and Golden Globes already proved that jumpsuits, diamond-encrusted bling and all-white looks are having a major moment. Not to be missed, this Sunday's SAG Awards is sure to bring a new crop of gorgeous gowns and trends to our attention.

But sometimes we get so wrapped up in the gown glory that we can forget about the real reason the awards shows even exist: the movies.

In an effort to praise the films and actors nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and predict the red carpet fashion, we've melded the two together. Using the themes, colors and costuming seen in The Theory of Everything, Boyhood, Birdman, The Imitation Game and The Grand Budapest Hotel, we've scoured the runways for the movies' high-fashion counterpart.

The Grand Budapest Hotel

Leave it to Wes Anderson to create yet another film with both vivid, saturated imagery and muted, dark tones and themes. There's a perfect balance of camp and witty dialogue, with the progression best described in a 2015 Elie Saab Haute Couture fantasy of a dress. The top's floral pinks call to mind the hotel exterior and the box of pastries (spoiler alert!) so vital to the plot. As it fades to the grayish-blue bottom, we get the dark sensibilities present in the film.

Also, the velvet detailing of this sheer gown from Valentino spring 2015 also reminds us of the purple bellhop uniforms.

The Imitation Game

Look past Benedict Cumberbatch's good looks for a moment and focus on the neutral tones and inexpensive but sturdy fabrics so prevalent in WWII and its corresponding period pieces. The hues in the film's costuming perfectly match these Jenny Packham and Jason Wu spring 2015 gowns. Not to mention, the belt on the latter has a military-inspired feel.

The Theory of Everything

Less about science and more about the love story of genius Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) and his wife, Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones), The Theory of Everything features romantic sets and 1960s ladylike silhouettes worth swooning over. This jewel-encrusted Valentino pre-fall 2015 perfectly represents the magic of young romance. And if this story took place today, we think Jane would approve of this modern Elie Saab spring 2015 iteration of the breezy, blue dresses her movie counterpart wears in the film.

Birdman

With Birdman, you get the darkness of a Batman-like character, the drama of Broadway and the bustling, urban appeal of New York. For the protagonist, a former cinema superhero trying to save his career, there's hope muddled somewhere in between all that darkness and desperation. Likewise, the black suit featured in Altuzarra spring 2015 is edgy but structured, while this cagey gown from Erdem spring 2015 is giving off some serious capped crusader vibes.

Boyhood

It was a little difficult to capture the rollercoaster that is adolescence in a couture gown, but this white, lacy dress from Elie Saab has a sense of both purity and maturity. Not to mention, the green Christian Siriano spring 2015 gown with floral print is an elevated expression of suburban life.
