Rosie Perez will be returning to The View next month, according to ABC, despite reports that she was leaving the rumor-shadowed morning show after just four months as a permanent co-host.
"We look forward to welcoming the multi-talented Rosie Perez back to her seat as co-host on the panel on Feb. 3 after completing rehearsals for her upcoming Broadway play," the network said in a statement Thursday. "She brings her rich life experience and passion to the table—something we've sorely missed while she's away."
The actress and author joined the show in September to fill one of the chairs vacated by Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy.
As rumors of discord between Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell mounted by the day, reports began to swirl as to whether Perez would or would not be returning after taking this month off to rehearse for Fish in the Dark, a new comedy penned by Larry David that's opening March 5 at the Cork Theatre.
Naya Rivera and other guest hosts sat in during Perez's absence.
