With a name like Benedict Cumberbatch, you're probably predestined for greatness.

But what if The Imitation Game actor had been cursed with a different moniker? Would we feel the same way about him? Would he have the same "gravitas?"

Well, Jimmy Kimmel wanted to find out, so he made the Oscar nominee introduce himself with different names. The options were endless for Cumberbatch and included everything from movie allusions to the classic nursery tune, "John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt."

"Oh, that's your name, too?" he asked. "What are the chances?"

Sitting in a darkly lit bar, Cumberbatch continued to try out different names and eventually began to settle into superheroes and villains.

"My name is Bane," he said while covering his mouth so as to imitate the villain's unmistakable voice. "But you can call me Batman."

Other names he gave a go were Queen Latifah, the Hamburgler, Al Roker and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Spoiler alert: He absolutely still has the same swoonworthy qualities that we have all come to know and love, especially when he said, "Hi, my name is Gary Miller, and I work in agricultural insurance, and I'd like to buy you a drink."

Unfortunately for us Cumberbitches, a new identity won't make him any more available, as he is engaged to Sophie Hunter! The happy couple also announced Hunter has a Cumber-bun in the oven! That's right, the pair is expecting a little baby. But with Cumberbatch's busy schedule filming Sherlock, he hasn't had the time to start planning for his wedding!
