Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise may be divorced, but that doesn't mean they still can't enjoy each other's works.

In fact, the iconic theme from Mission: Impossible pops up in Kidman's new children's movie, Paddington (in theaters now).

The music sneaks up on viewers when Paddington is shown running away from Kidman, who plays an evil taxidermist determined to catch and stuff the adorable little bear.

"I heard that for the first time at the premiere in London," the Oscar winner told me. I was like, 'Gosh, this is ingenious because none of that was in the script."

Cruise has starred as IMF agent Ethan Hunt in four Mission: Impossible movies. He filmed a fifth over the summer.

Kidman praised Paddington director Paul King for incorporating both adult and kids humor in the movie. "That's how Paul is, he just plays around with stuff," she said. "He's going to have a massive career. He's being offered like everything now."

(And speaking of directors, Kidman insists she has no aspirations to direct. "I like being an actor," she said. "I like contributing. I'm not sure I want to be the one making all the decisions. The pressure is too much.")

As we previously reported, Kidman's two young daughters didn't exactly warm to their mom's character right away.

"They were very upset at first," Kidman said. "They've now come full circle and now they think the villain is the best character. My six-year-old is always like, 'The villain is the best character.'…She's like me. When I saw the Wizard of Oz, I was completely obsessed with the Wicked Witch. I mean, I like Dorothy, but I found the witch completely mesmerizing."
