Watch: Will Michael Keaton's Hot Son Be Back for the Oscars?

Last weekend, Michael Keaton turned his son Sean Douglas into a trending topic on Twitter after getting emotional while talking about him in his acceptance speech after winning his first Golden Globe Award, at the 2015 ceremony.

Oh yeah, and the 31-year-old singer-songwriter, the only child of the actor and ex-wife Caroline McWilliams, is quite the fox. So there's that.

"So great," Keaton, 63, who was born Michael John Douglas, told E! News about his son becoming a trending topic. "Says something about the world we live in. it's great! I love it, man! Take the attention off me. I'm good with that."

The actor made his comments at the 2015 Critics' Choice Movie Awards, where he was honored as Best Actor and Best Actor in a Comedy (and in one of his acceptance speeches, thanked "everyone" he's "ever met")

On Thursday, Keaton was nominated for an Oscar, also his first, for his performance in the dark dramedy Birdman, in which the original big screen Batman star plays an actor known for his past superhero role who wants to revive his acting career by directing, writing and starring in a Broadway play.

So the question on many fans' minds is...will his son be joining him at the 2015 Oscars on Feb. 22? Watch the video above to find out and also check out what Keaton said his son texted him after the Oscar nominations were announced.

And sorry, ladies, Sean is taken. He married longtime girlfriend Rachel Bartov last August in California.

Sean has written more than 80 songs, including Demi Lovato's "Heart Attack," Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty" and "Wiggle," which featured Snoop Dogg, and Fifth Harmony's "Sledgehammer," which he co-wrote with Danish music producer and writer Jonas Jeberg and "All About That Bass" singer Meghan Trainor. Sean also wrote "Ghosttown," a track on Madonna's upcoming album, Rebel Heart.

"I'll be talking to my dad and he'll say 'How it's going?' And I'll go, 'Hey Dad, I got this new song coming out. It's gonna be a big single!' He'll say, 'Oh great, what's it called?' I go, 'Uhhh, it's called 'Wiggle"!'' Sean told The Hollywood Reporter in comments posted earlier this week.

"It's just a funny conversation to have with your parent," he said. "But he's always been incredibly supportive, and he's just thrilled that it's working out. I possibly am more excited than he is about the Golden Globe, and he's probably more excited about me having a hit or two than I am."

Keaton has occasionally talked about his son in interviews. "When I did the first Batman, he came over and sat in the Batmobile," the actor told The New York Times in 1996. "He loves those classic heroes and it was a big thrill," he added. "But I don't want him to become an asterisk. You know, 'Sean, that movie star's kid.'"
