Bill Clinton is on Cloud 9.

The new grandpa couldn't help but gush about the newest addition to the Clinton family during his guest appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night.

When asked how he's handling his new role to Chelsea Clinton's baby girl, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, the former president sounded prouder than ever.

"I love it. Like every other grandfather, I think my granddaughter's the greatest thing since sliced bread," he shared on the nightly show.

"It's so fun. So far my daughter has not had to discipline [Charlotte's] overly exuberant grandparents too much."

The former president joked with Seth Meyers that he and Hillary Clinton have the utmost confidence in their daughter's parenting skills.

"You know, these young people, they know what the rules are on childrearing. It's very impressive."

Of course, this isn't the first time that he's gone on about how fabulous it is to be a granddad.

Late last year, he stopped by Ellen DeGeneres's daytime talk show and dished about how Charlotte has brought the family closer than ever.

"Hillary and I only have one child and she's quite wonderful, but it's been a long time since she's been that age," he explained. "I told her the biggest hoot for me is watching them wake up to the world…She never cries. She just soaks things up and if my mind worked like that, I'd be so happy."
