The 2015 Golden Globes provided a medley of striking red carpet trends—from ladies in red to retro waves, these looks gave us insight on what's to come this awards show season. But there's one particular trend that the E! Style Collective hopes to see on the carpet again: 3-D embellishments.

We're not just talking about pretty pleating or ruched waistlines. We saw big, bold design details that added both dimension and structure to stars' red carpet gowns. It was, quite simply, art.

Fashion darling Lupita Nyong'o took a more feminine approach from her ultra-chic red Ralph Lauren cape dress of 2014 Golden Globes glory for a floral appliqué-adorned Giambattista Valli Couture gown. It was a romantic English garden of a gown, and we wanted to stop and smell the flowers (figuratively, of course).

Another winner—both on the red carpet and during the show—is Still Alice star Julianne Moore, who melded full feathers with the metallic trend for an ombre-like effect. The custom Givenchy gown only got more interesting as our eyes followed the dress down to its train

Other ladies to capitalize on this supercharged texture trend include Allison Williams, Laura Prepon and Keira Knightley. Knightley wore a floral Chanel pick that garnered divisive opinions from both the fashion set and fans. (One thing is for certain: Those ruffles can't be missed.)

With the 2015 SAG Awards just around the corner, we're sure to see much more of this in-your-face trend. Now if only the show were broadcasted in 3-D!
