Kate Bosworth took to Instagram on Jan. 13 with a new face-framing bob haircut, and we're already a little obsessed. The actress, who turned 32 on Jan. 2, went under the scissors for an upcoming film role.
"New haircut today for my upcoming role in 90 Minutes in Heaven ... courtesy of the brilliant @harryjoshhair," Kate wrote alongside a snapshot of her new look.
Kate's hairstylist Harry Josh did a teaser on Instagram earlier in the day, posting a photo of a clump of blond hair and a mysterious back-facing photo of an actress. (The pic also had us wondering if getting a topless haircut is, well, the Hollywood norm.)
"Ok people I just cut literally a foot off a mystery actress! It will be revealed tonight on the red carpet tonight," Josh captioned the mystery pic. (FYI: Josh, who's the mastermind behind Rose Byrne's sleek bob and Gisele Bündchen's beachy waves, knows his way around a short haircut.) The big reveal came just a little over three hours later—when Josh posted a front and side shot of the perfectly tousled bob.
And...surprise! The unidentified blond was none other than Kate, who looks fierce with the cropped new 'do. While this chop may be for a movie role, we wouldn't blink an eye if it was the actress' look far past filming.
"Although she didn't do it to be on trend, I do believe we will be seeing shorter styles this year," Harry Josh told E! News.
