Kelly Clarkson's daughter, River Rose Blackstock, is one happy baby. Whether she's baby talking, dancing or just giggling, she's always making her mama smile...but this wasn't always the case!

Of course, 7-month-old River has been a delight since she was born, but as mom revealed to Nick Grimshaw on BBC's Radio 1 Breakfast Show, she had "such a horrible pregnancy" while carrying her little girl!

"Like, I was hospitalized," she said. "It was just kind of a bad pregnancy, so I had to take off way more time than normal."

Of course, the end result made it all worth it. "She's pretty awesome," Kelly gushed, adding laughingly that hubby Brandon Blackstock is now "like running from me because I want another one!"

"Not right now," she clarified, "but I want another one in like a year."

Not to worry, though, Brandon: There's some flexibility in Kelly's timeline for baby No. 2! During a recent interview with 104.3 MYFM's Valentine in the Morning, the "Heartbeat Song" singer said she adores River "so much" that she "want(s) another one in like two years!"

"She's so great," Kelly said of her musical mini-me. "She's such a little light."

Plus, the former American Idol is the first to admit that becoming a mama has made her a nicer person. "I guess I'm annoyed by my previous self," she told The Radio 1 Breakfast Show. "You know, you have a baby and you realize how much of a complete crap you were sometimes. Not like a complete crap, but you worried about stupid stuff."

"I've never been like horrible," she clarified. "I guess just in our job, in the entertainment world, you get very self-involved. Everything is about you, so it's nice to have a different perspective. It's just funny, I'm like, 'I kinda don't like me before!' But I like me now."
