Jessica Chastain, you may dread hitting the red carpet, but trust us, your devoted fans (including us!) count down the minutes to see you strut your stuff!

The Golden Globe winner (and nominee tonight) looked positively gorgeous in a gold Versace gown at this year's red carpet, but she admitted to Ryan Seacrest that she basically would rather skip all the posing and smiling to cameras if she could have it her way. But not for the reason you think.

"The red carpet is not something I look forward to," Chastain tells Ryan. "Not at all. Because all I'm thinking in my head is that I'm going to fall backwards."

And we don't blame her for having qualms about staying upright. The shoes she wore with her beautiful dress were at least six-inches high!

"I'm wearing very tall heels. And if there is any instability…if I see Meryl Streep or whatever and get excited, I'm just going to go [backwards]," she laughs.

Well, if she ever falls forward, at least she'll have her amazing cleavage there to break the fall! Yowza.

The two-time Oscar nominee has come a long way from her troubled teenage years to stunning the crowds during award season. The 37-year-old recently revealed that she was actually a high school drop out.

"Nobody knows this about me. I dropped out of high school," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I was not a hard worker. I was a terrible student. Eventually I got my adult diploma, but I did not graduate. And it wasn't that I just dropped out and never went back—at the end of the year I had too many absences to graduate."

We're just so glad she showed up tonight!

Chastain is nominated again this year for her supporting role in a Most Violent Year. She won the Golden Globe back in 2012 for her dramatic turn in Zero Dark Thirty.
