So long Peter Pan, hello red carpet glam!

Girls actress Allison Williams took to the red carpet at the 2015 Golden Globes in a stunning, crimson Armani Privé gown that, as she explained, was a conscious departure from her boyish Peter Pan duds: "I really like wearing [this]," she said E!'s Giuliana Rancic. "It's Armani Privé. All handmade. It's just so delicate. After Peter Pan I felt like looking like a real girl…and I think this is girly enough for me."

The star complemented her look with a simple diamond Cartier bracelet and retro waves, explaining that she wanted an "Old Hollywood vibe" for her locks. (Other actresses on the carpet shared the same sentiment regarding chic over-the-shoulder coifs.)

Giuliana admitted that she had predicted Oscar de la Renta for the star during the countdown show, seeing that Allison has worn Oscar gowns to major red carpet events in the past.

"I was on the edge of my seat to hear who you thought would wear Oscar de la Renta," Williams admitted. "I love Oscar and I'll wear him forever, and I have before. [But] this one spoke to me so loudly."

With a gorgeous look like that, we can see why.
