Johnny Depp and fiancée Amber Heard were all over each other at the Art of Elysium gala in Los Angeles on Friday night, a month after the two were subject to split rumors.

The two packed on the PDA as they arrived at the event, where the actress, who sported a gorgeous white gown with a draped boat neckline, was given the organization's highest honor, the Spirit of Elysium award. They were also spotted in a VIP area inside, where they slow-danced to a remix of "The First Cut Is the Deepest," a Cat Stevens ballad famously covered by Sheryl Crow, created by none other than DJ Elijah Wood.

An eyewitness told E! News that Depp, 51, and Heard, 28, looked "very flirty and cute" at the event, adding that "Amber was touching Johnny's leg."

In December, less than a year after they got engaged, sources told E! News that the two were having major issues and that their wedding plans were up in the air. The two did not comment about their relationship. Earlier this month, a souce said the two are "in a really good place."

"Amber and Johnny are really happy," a source told E! News of the pair, who recently celebrated the New Year with a bash for the actor's moms birthday.

Also at the gala, Depp and Heard also got cozy on a white bed, set up near others, in a room made to look like a "dinner scene," as part of contemporary performance artist Marina Abramović's "Heaven" installation. The actress, who sported her engagement ring, was seen holding a glass of wine and putting her arm around her beau, who did not have a drink.

Guests were asked to wear gray kimono-style robes for the performance (the two opted not to don theirs) and sat on the beds as they were treated to a 3D video, a fashion show and even a musical performance by Moby. There was also a live auction, during which Depp bid $25,000 on one item, although he lost to another bidder as well as a silent cocktail hour, which was sponsored by Perrier Jouet.

During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed Grey Goose melon vodka and other beverages, while Depp was seen smoking a vaporizer-like cigarette. Fellow celebrity attendees of the Art of Elysium gala, presented by SBE events and Samsung, included the likes of James FrancoJoaquin Phoenix, UsherJaime King and husband Kyle NewmanCara DelevingneKelly OsbourneCamilla Alves, and That '70s Show alumni Topher Grace and Laura Prepon.

After Heard was announced as the recipient of the 2015 spirit of Elysium award, Depp then stood up and faced her, clapping along with the audience. The two hugged and kissed and he escorted her to the stage.

With her beau watching her nearby, the actress read from a piece of paper and told the audience, "I'm terrified of speaking in front of people."

She talked about her work with the Art of Elysium group, which pairs artists with children battling serious medical conditions.

"It didn't take long before I was jumping around the hospital in bunny ears, anything to make the kids laugh," Heard said.

After she accepted the award, Depp walked from his seat down to the stage, escorted her back and also carried her prize for her, as it was rather heavy.

Depp, a father of two, met Amber on the set of the 2011 movie The Rum Diary, based on a book by one of his actor's late friends and heroes, Hunter S. Thompson.

"She's a wonderful girl," he said on the Today show in 2014. "She's sharp as a tack. A southern belle and sweet as can be, and very good for me."
