Watch: Terrence Howard Expecting First Baby With Wife

Terrence Howard is himself glowing—with pride, that is—over the upcoming birth of his fourth child, his first with wife Miranda.

The news about her pregnancy was revealed on New Year's Eve. The two rang in 2015 at a nightclub and the owner announced on stage that the two are set to welcome a baby.

A beaming Howard, 45, told E! News on Tuesday at the premiere of his new FOX show, Empire, that they are expecting a boy.

"I have a son on the way; I have my baby right here," he said, standing beside Miranda, who covered her bump in a black halter gown.

The two wed in December 2013. Howard has two daughters, Aubrey, 21, and Heaven, 17, and a son, Hunter, 19, from his first marriage to Lori McCommas. The two were married and divorced twice. The actor is also a grandfather to Aubrey's daughter, Hazel

Howard, who is also a singer, had included on his 2008 debut album Shine Through It a song that was inspired by his kids.

"'No. 1 Fan' came from a lullaby I had written to my children," the actor told USA Today. "'Little children, don't be shy / close your eyes and let dreams roll by / Have you ever seen a mountain cry?' My kids caught me crying after my divorce."

He and his second ex-wifeMichelle Ghent, divorced in 2013 and have no kids together.

Empire premieres on Wednesday and features several Oscar nominees. Lee Daniels, who received one for directing The Butler, which stars Howard, serves as an executive producer and director of the hip-hop family drama.

The actor plays a hip-hop mogul and Taraji P. Henson, a fellow Oscar nominee, plays his ex-wife, who wants a piece of his music empire. The show also stars rocker Courtney Love, who recently starred on Sons of Anarchy, and Gabourey Sidibe, who Daniels had directed in the 2009 movie Precious, which earned her an Oscar nomination.

The show marks the first full-time TV role for Howard, known for his Oscar-nominated role in Hustle & Flow and other parts in movies such as Iron ManPrisoners and St. Vincent, since he played Deputy D.A. Jonah Dekker on Law & Order: LA in 2010 and 2011.
