Sounds as though Gaby Hoffman is loving all the perks that come with early motherhood—including the diet.

"Getting fit? Are you kidding?!" the Girls actress joshed with E! News on the red carpet last night at the hit HBO series' fourth-season premiere event in New York when we marveled over how great she was looking just six weeks after giving birth to daughter Rosemary.

"All I've been doing is breastfeeding and eating chocolate chip cookies—and eating placenta, which helps," Hoffman added.

Surely the nutrients in one balance out the sugary goodness in the other!

Though the 32-year-old actress claimed that she "obviously" wasn't paying much attention to her post-baby figure, she did wax rhapsodic about the breastfeeding, calling it "the best thing in the world"—and not just for its calorie-burning quotient.

"Every time I think about [my daughter] I feel my boobs and I'm just waiting for the stains to start running down," Hoffman cracked. (A little lactation humor, speaking of, er, Girls.)

The veteran thesp and boyfriend Chris Dapkins welcomed their baby girl, their first child together, on Nov. 19. They opted for a home birth and, as we can see, all went well and mom is doing just great.

Girls' fourth season premieres Sunday on HBO.
