Prepare yourselves, TV fans. A long-running hit show has just gotten the ax, and the cancellation has come as quite the painful surprise.

USA Network has opted not to move forward with another season of Covert Affairs.

The spy drama starring Piper Perabo just wrapped its fifth season, and the season (now series!) finale ended on quite the cliffhanger.

While the network is committed to its hour-long drama core, E! News has confirmed that USA Network will not renew Covert Affairs for season six.

Looks like we won't be finding out what Annie Walker (Perabo) chose for both her personal and professional life!

In the Covert Affairs season five finale, Annie was proposed to by Ryan McQuaid (Nic Bishop) as well as offered a job on Joan's (Kari Matchett) CIA task force, and in the final moments of the finale, Annie made her decision...but the show cut off before fans could find out what she chose! Ugh, this is when being a TV fan hurts.

Besides White Collar, which just aired its series finale, all of the other USA Network hour-long dramas—Suits, Royal Pains and Graceland—have been picked up for another season, along with new drama Satisfaction.

But that doesn't make Covert Affairs the only casualty, as new drama Rush was previously canceled back in the fall, just after it premiered.

Are you bummed that you probably won't get to find out what would have happened next for Annie?

(E! and USA are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
