Lena Dunham has gone back to brunette just in time for the 2015 Golden Globes (meanwhile, we're having flashbacks to her look last year just around this time).

The Girls actress debuted the new 'do while out in Brooklyn on Jan. 5, when she was spotted chatting on the phone and toting three large bouquets of flowers. (Not quite in sight? That tell-tale ring that has us wondering if the star is engaged to rocker beau Jack Antonoff.) Dunham's hit HBO series returns on Jan. 11, the same night that the star will be attending this year's Golden Globe Awards.

We haven't seen Lena's hair in this chestnut shade since she walked the Golden Globes red carpet last year. But the star has been sighted in the last few weeks with her roots in the growing-out stage (most noticeably so alongside BFF Taylor Swift while the two took a city stroll on Dec. 20.)

The actress has been one of the more constant purveyors of changing hair color this year, with a blond bowl cut (gone pixie) that took us by surprise in August and mint green locks that she sported for a portion of her book tour back in October.

While we don't know for sure if this will be Dunham's hair color of choice for the big night on Sunday, we can't say that it's a bad one.

What do you think of Lena's new locks?
