Rosamund Pike wasn't gone for good!

With awards season underway, the 35-year-old Gone Girl actress returned the red carpet this weekend. The star's outings came just one month after E! News exclusively reported that she'd given birth to her second son, whose name has yet to be revealed. Pike and Robie Uniacke are also parents to son Solo, 2.

For her first event, the 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, Pike picked a silk floral jacquard dress from Alexander McQueen's Fall 2014 collection and Brian Atwood's "Melly" sandals. Beauty-wise, the British actress modeled slicked-back up-do and rocked a lush fuchsia lip color. The actress picked up the award for Breakthrough Performance for her role in David Fincher's Gone Girl.

Pike accepted the award from her co-stars Carrie Coon and Kim Dickens. During her acceptance speech, she told the audience that she had dreamed of working with Fincher ever since she saw his film Se7en, right after she had played a Bond girl in Die Another Day. At the time, she recalled being told, "Fincher doesn't work with Bond girls." Twelve years later, Pike finally got to work with Fincher. Recalling her reaction to landing the role of a lifetime, the actress told the crowd, "After 12 years, bingo, he called."

"Right after 'Bingo!' comes 'F--k!'" she added.

For her second event of the weekend, Variety's Creative Impact Awards & 10 Directors to Watch Brunch, Pike showcased her slender frame in a Proenza Schouler dress. She paired it with Brian Atwood sandals.

For her role as Amy Dunne in Gone Girl, Pike is nominated for a Golden Globe (Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama) and a Screen Actors Guild Award (Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role). Nominations for the 87th Academy Awards will be made Jan. 15. The show airs Feb. 22.
