We don't know about you, but all it took was the idea of a singing, bearded Timothy Omundson for us to be like "Yasss Galavant!"

The Psych fans in us were excited. The Princess Bride fans in us were thrilled. The musical television fans in us were jumping up and down with pure joy, and none of those people were disappointed by tonight's hour-long premiere.

It was campy and ridiculous and basically just a lot of fun that we will gladly have over again each Sunday night at 8.

Galavant tells the story of a hero named Galavant (Joshua Sasse) who's determined to defeat the evil King Richard (Omundson), who has stolen Galavant's "true love." The four week musical event also stars Vinnie Jones, Mallory Jansen, Karen David, and Luke Youngblood, who is also known as Lee Jordan from Harry Potter and Magnitude on Community.

The series, which also happens to be produced by Disney composer Alan Menken, has lined up an excellent list of guest stars, including John Stamos, Hugh Bonneville, Weird Al, Ricky Gervais and Anthony Stewart Head.

Stamos actually made his debut in tonight's second episode as Galavant's opponent in the saddest joust ever, as they both ended up on the ground with Stamos' character puking absinthe out of his helmet. It was gross, but it was not not entertaining.

A medieval musical extravaganza might seem like quite the gamble for ABC, but we had a pretty good time with it, and it's not as if we were expecting the next Game of Thrones. Now we want to hear from you! Vote in the poll below, and then head to the comments to tell us what you thought.
