Don't worry, it's not one of those "new year, new me" speeches.
Vanessa Hudgens recorded a short clip and shared it on Facebook to give her fans a little pep talk as we countdown the last hours of 2014 and prepare for the 365-day journey that awaits. So, with a bare and beautiful face, Hudgens and her adorable puppy Daria got together and shared some wise words for those anticipating 2015.
"Happy new year, it's gonna be a new year soon," Vanessa sings to the camera with a huge smile before cutting to her dog and voicing a "happy new year" greeting from the cute furball. She then continued, "Set goals, dream big and love life."
She also posted a photo and wrote, "Happy New Year, love bugs! Hope that your 2015 is filled with love and happiness. So grateful for you all!"
The new year is already holding some exciting things for the young star, who will be taking on the title role of the new Broadway production Gigi.
The musical, directed by Eric Shaeffer, is a romantic comedy that was first adapted for the stage in 1951 with Audrey Hepburn playing the same role Hudgens will be starring in. The film version of the musical has won nine Academy Awards among numerous other recognitions.
The actress has played the role of Gigi before in New York City readings and is excited to get back to theater. "I started performing in musicals from a young age, and it has always been my dream to be on Broadway," Hudgens said in a press release.
"I cannot wait to get back on stage, singing and dancing these songs and living in Gigi's glamorous world."
