Chris Brown might have lost some Team Breezy members in Manila over this one.

On Wednesday, just hours before he was scheduled to headline a New Year's Eve concert at the Philippine Arena, the 25-year-old singer cancelled, announcing on Twitter that he could no longer perform.

"#TeamBreezyManila! Due to unfortunate circumstances I can't bring in the new year with you...," he tweeted.

"Too bad since the Philippines Arena is one of the best arenas in the world," he added. "Stay tuned Team Breezy!!!!"

He tried to reassure disappointed fans, tweeting, "#TeamBreezyManila I'll see you in spring."

Brown was supposed to be the main act at the 2015 Philippine Countdown New Year's Eve Concert, where he was set to join acts like Bamboo, Enrique Gil, Sam Concepcion, KZ Tandingan and Morissette.

And yes, despite Brown's absence, the show had to go on! The Philippine Arena added photos to its Facebook page of other artists performing at the NYE concert. They also posted an article about Brown's cancellation from the Philippine Star, complete with tweets from some rather disgruntled fans hoping to see Breezy at the show!

E! News reached out to Brown's rep for further details about the unforeseen circumstances leading to his cancellation, but we did not receive an immediate response.
