Are they or aren't they having a baby?

That's the question many fans of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are asking after a certain tabloid reported the couple was expecting a new family member.

As soon as family and friends started asking the twosome directly, the talk-show host and her wife decided to tackle the rumors head-on.

"It's so fun for everybody," Portia explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "There's this magazine…Did you see it says, ‘They are finally starting to have one.' Like are people really that mad at us?"

Mad? Absolutely not! But curious, well we can certainly admit that.

As it turns out, the twosome are not expecting or having a baby anytime soon. "No, we're not," Portia proclaimed. "That's good for me to know now," Ellen joked afterwards.

So what finally compelled the two to speak out? Ultimately, all the attention made those closest to the pair question their family plans.

"I will say my brother called me and said ‘I heard I'm going to be an uncle,' but there was a tiny little question in the word uncle," Portia shared. "He didn't know, but he's not going to read it on a tabloid magazine."

Ellen shared a similar story when one of her closest co-workers confronted her about the rumors.

"My assistant asked if I was keeping something secret from him because it's so prevalent that everyone assumes we really are having a baby and we're just not sharing it," she shared.

In the meantime, just follow the talk-show host's advice: Get up and have a little fun today…and maybe not believe all the tabloids.
