Based on recently surfaced footage showing Nicki Minaj show off her acing chops in high school, it's safe to say that the rapper has always had a sassy side.
The "Feeling Myself" singer, who attended the prestigious Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Queens, gets intense during a skit with her former classmate.
The British series You Saw Them Here First, found the throwback footage, which features Minaj getting furious and throwing a phone at her acting pal.
"Call that judge right now and tell him I can have my baby back," she's seen shouting.
Then, in a follow-up clip, the Grammy nominee appears on stage with other actors in front of casting directors in hopes of landing a gig. Oh, how far she's come!
During a recent interview with Teen Vogue the outspoken star shared that her experience on high school left her feeling more inspired, creatively, than anything had before.
"It was the first time I felt like I really fit in. Everyone there was creative," he said.
"For once, I didn't feel like there was something weird about me."
However, back in September, the star took to Twitter to reveal that her high school turned down her request to come back to her alma matter and give students some insight into how she became a superstar.
"That school changed my life and I wanted to pay it forward to the students there now," she tweeted at the time. "I was really looking forward to it."
