It looks like Katie Holmes is holding on to Dawson's Creek just as much as the fans.

The brunette beauty covers Elle Canada's February issue, and while opening up about her long career in the industry, Holmes candidly confesses that her time as Joey Potter holds a special place in her heart.

"I don't know if I have moved past it, but I don't really care," Holmes told the mag with a smile. "I had a ball doing it, and it's really nice to be a part of something that did affect people. And it created a lot of opportunities for all of us. You can't really ask for much more than that."

Dawson's Creek fans are "all grown up now," says Holmes, joking that these days they're probably more apt to be watching Disney shows with their kids, the mag states.

And the actress is just fine with that because she doesn't sit around thinking about her past work. "I just keep going," she simply explains. "That's what I do: I don't really think about it; I kind of just keep going."

"You know, we all still keep in touch and support each other," she shared during a Q&A at the Apple Store in New York City recently. "And luckily, we all have been able to stay busy. We had a really wonderful time. It was six years of our lives, and we were all really passionate about making it the best it could be."

She added, "I love them all so dearly. I'm so excited for everyone and proud."

Although the former WB series has no plans of reviving on the small (or big) screen, fans were still greeted with a mini reunion back in November.

"The most pleasant run-ins can happen in the most unexpected places..." James Van Der Beek shared on Instagram as he posed for a picture with his friend and former co-star Joshua Jackson.

Plus, the ATX Television Festival announced its plans for their season four festival scheduled for June 2015, which will include the creative forces behind the iconic show Dawson's Creek will partake in the festival's first Writers' Room Reunion panel.

We can't wait!
