It's been a long month without The Good Wife to get us through these cold, winter nights. Thankfully, we have a new preview clip and pictures.

When we last saw Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies), Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski), Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry) and Co., Cary had just plead guilty, accepting a plea deal and facing a few years in prison after refusing to flip on Lemond Bishop (Mike Colter). Quite the cliffhanger! All hope seemed to be lost. Meanwhile, Alicia joked about killing Grace's (Makenzie Vega) teacher and it became a campaign issue.

When The Good Wife finally returns on Sunday, Jan. 4, Cary will hire a prison consultant (Domenick Lombardozzi), Alicia begins her debate prep with the help of Adrian Fluke (Chris Elliott). While all this is happening, Diane, Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) and the rest of Florrick, Agos and Lockhart race against the clock to find something to exonerate Cary. Get a sneak peek at the episode above with some new photos and a sneak peek clip!

Man, Peter (Chris Noth) and Alicia sure are something else.  She owned him in that debate.

Did Peter "zip up his pants" and "stop banging the help"? Well, Ramona (Connie Nielsen) is in the Sunday, Jan. 11 episode. Also in that episode: Rachael Harris as Franny Zissis, an aide to the mayor of Chicago and Chris Matthews appears as himself to moderate the debate between Alicia and Frank (David Hyde Pierce). Look for Harris' Franny to clash with Peter as Chicago prepares for a potential riot.
