Whether Robin Williams was shooting a feature film a "prom-posal" video, he was always committed to getting a laugh.

The late actor's Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb co-star Skyler Gisondo will never forget it, either! The 18-year-old enlisted the help of Williams, Ben Stiller and Crystal the Monkey to ask his classmate to be his prom date. Robin didn't just make a five-second cameo, though—he helped Gisondo turn his "prom-posal" into a full theatrical production!

"All morning, Robin was pitching more ideas," Gisondo told The Hollywood Reporter. "He was saying 'Can I say this? Would it be appropriate to say this?' You're Robin Williams. You can say whatever you want!"

"It turned into this three-minute, ridiculous thing," said Gisondo. "I realized that was the most awesome three minutes of my life and I've accepted it will go downhill from there."

In the clip, which was uploaded to YouTube prior to Williams' death, the Oscar winner quite convincingly tells Gisondo's classmate the reasons why she should accept his "prom-posal."

Stiller told the prospective date, Gisondo "was a good kisser—I've heard"—something Williams confirmed. "Look at this boy," added Williams, planting a kiss on his Gisondo's cheek. After he and Stiller rattled off more compliments about their teenage co-star, Williams humorously noted, "Those are all the things that come in the positive column."

Not surprisingly, the "prom-posal" worked, and Gisondo's date said yes! He'll never forget either, his co-star's enthusiasm and willingness to help him ask a girl out.
"Robin was this bottomless reservoir of kindness and hilarity," Gisondo recalled to THR. "It was just so special to work so closely with this guy who's movies I've grown up with and watch his preparedness and his kindness."
