If there's one event that can bring exes together, it has to be the Christmas season.

Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy followed their long-running winter tradition by heading to Aspen, Colo., over the weekend where they appeared to be on nothing but good terms.

Dressed perfectly for the cold, snowy weather, the twosome went shopping together at Boogies for about 45 minutes. They then grabbed coffee and pastries at Paradise Bakery in the city.

"They seemed very cordial," an eyewitness told E! News. "Friends are with them. Kate's brother is there too. Overall, it looks very friendly and not romantic."

To make things more clear, Hudson has NOT been wearing her engagement ring throughout the trip.

The actress and Muse frontman shocked fans earlier this month when they ended their engagement after four years together.

"Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now," Bellamy's rep told E! News. "Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."

That couldn't be clearer this Christmas as the two are believed to be staying at Kate's family home in the countryside.

"We always go home," Hudson told Access Hollywood when asked about her winter traditions. "I grew up in Colorado and we always [go] back to Colorado. The whole family comes—my brothers and all of the kids and at some point during Christmas we all get together and do that."

And although the duo decided to spend Christmas last year in the U.K. with Bellamy's family, it appears the former couple is getting back to basics before 2015 begins.

"We're [a] super traditional Christmas family," she shared. "Mom and I decorate the house. We make snowmen—kind of magical."
