In the age of email and text messages, it seems like hand-written notes have fallen by the wayside. But Adele has proven that gracious manners are still alive and well!

The "Someone Like You" singer and her family couldn't attend Sir Elton John and David Furnish's wedding this past weekend, and instead of only declining the invitation, she also sent the couple a note apologizing for her family's absence! The card, signed Adele, Simon [Konecki] and Angelo [Konecki] (her son) says that they will see the officially married couple in 2015.

John and Furnish tied the knot officially on Dec. 21 on the ninth anniversary of their civil partnership. The ceremony, which the stars invited fans to enjoy via Instagram, featured dozens of long-stem roses because they brought the couple "so much luck." The wedding also featured someone else pretty special—Ed Sheeran!

The English singer-songwriter attended the "Crocodile Rock" crooner's wedding and posted an amazing photo showing everyone having a blast. With the caption #ShareTheLove, the photo has Sheeran wearing John's wild glasses with the "Your Song" singer struggling to see! Family and friends surrounded the two Grammy award winners.

The perfect end to the perfect day. So many kind thoughts and wishes. #ShareTheLove

Attendees were asked to hashtag their pictures with #ShareTheLove so that fans could get an intimate glimpse into the reception, which took place at John and Furnish's Windsor estate in England. Other celebrity attendees included David and Victoria Beckham.

The two chose to make their relationship even more official after Britain passed a law allowing for same-sex couples to obtain full legal marriage status. He gushed to the Today show earlier this year that he couldn't be any more excited for when he could officially marry his partner.

"We will do it very quietly," he shared. "It will be a joyous occasion and we will have our children there. Extraordinary. If you'd looked at my life five years ago and you'd have told me this was going to happen, I'd have said, 'You've put acid in my drink.'"
