FLIX/AKM-GSIEvan Ross and Ashlee Simpson may be celebrating some very exciting news, but that doesn't mean they can slack on the Christmas shopping.
The soon-to-be parents were spotted heading out to Toys "R" Us in Los Angeles today to get some last-minute gift purchasing done ahead of the holidays next week. Ross and Simpson, who kept bundled up for their retail outing, were photographed walking hand-in-hand as they began their shopping excursion and continued the sweet PDA throughout the trip.
"The couple still look very much like happy newlyweds," an eyewitness tell E! News. "Evan was pushing the shopping cart, very attentive to Ashlee. When she speaks to him, he does not take his eyes off of her."

As for what the pair purchased, the insider tells us, "They bought a ton of stuff, including a fluffy purple unicorn, bubble gum machine and Frozen doll. They shopped for about an hour and 40 minutes. They were there with who appeared to be an assistant."
Sounds like their famous nieces and nephews have some great stuff coming their way!
"Prior to Toys 'R' Us they went to breakfast and Ashlee stayed in the car while Evan went and picked up the food. The two seemed relaxed and super chill," the source adds.
E! News exclusively broke the news that the newlyweds are expecting their first child together earlier this week. Their little one will join Ashlee's 6-year-old son Bronx, her child with ex-husband Pete Wentz, in the family fold. She and Ross tied the knot on Aug. 31.
