#OMG!

Arrow and The Affair actor Colin Donnell and his girlfriend, fellow Broadway actress Patti Murin are engaged after dating for more than a year. Murin tweeted about it on Friday.

"You guys, I have some big news to share!! Ready??? I didn't hate the Annie movie at all. I actually liked it. #alsoigotengaged," she said.

"I did too! To her!" Donnell said in a retweet.

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the Tony-nominated songwriters of the 2012 Broadway musical A Christmas Story, had actually spilled the beans a day earlier.

The actor, who plays Tommy Merlyn on the CW superhero show Arrow and Scotty Lockhart on Showtime's The Affair, is also known for his roles in Broadway musicals such as Jersey Boys and Anything Goes.

He and Murin, who acted in a 2007 production of Xanadu, met more than eight years ago through a mutual friend and fell in love in the summer of 2013 while starring together in a Shakespeare in the Park musical adaptation of William Shakespeare's comedy Love's Labour's Lost in Central Park in New York City, according to Playbill.com.

The two told the outlet that a couple of nights before rehearsals began, Murin hosted a party and, as she said, "got a little bit drunk."

"She may have kissed me in the hallway," Donnell said.

"We were literally starting rehearsals two days later, and I was like, 'What did I just do? I do not want a boyfriend right now,' and I'd known him for so long," Murin said. "Everyone was always like, 'Colin is so good looking, he's so hot'...And I was like, 'Really? I just don't see it.' And then when I went back into my apartment that night my best friend was still there and I was like, 'I see it now. I get it.'"

Murin told Playbill.com that the two kept their relationship under wraps until performances began.

"It was like one of those surprise things—and now we live together and have a dog," she said.

This past August, the two performed together at Murin's show at 54 Below. Here they are singing "I Choose You" by Sara Bareilles.
