Neil Patrick Harris is about to appear on American Horror Story: Freak Show...and star in our nightmares.

We finally have footage of the How I Met Your Mother alum's highly anticipated guest-starring role on the FX thriller and let's just say it's as creepy as you might imagine.

When we first got wind that Harris' dream to be on AHS was coming true, the only detail we could find about who he would be playing was "salesman." But now that we've seen the trailer for AHS's midseason premiere, we can officially confirm that, yup, Harris is yet another terrifying character on a show filled with terrifying characters.

There's just no escaping them!

Check out Harris in the trailer above now.

Here's everything we know now about Harris' character: He is playing Chester, the new owner of Elsa's (Jessica Lange) show...and Bette and Dot's (Sarah Paulson) new love interest?! That can't end well for the conjoined sisters, seeing as how Chester claims his creepy ventriloquist dummy "relaxes him"; moreover, returning AHS alum Jamie Brewer shows up and seems to look a lot like a real-life version of the puppet.

And when Chester tries to put on a magic show, he saws someone in half...for real. Uh-oh. Is there another murderer running loose?!

Harris will appear in episodes 11 and 12, while his husband, David Burtka, will guest star on the season finale.

AHS: Freak Show returns Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 10 p.m. on FX.
