Angelina Jolie's daughters are just as independent as she is.

The 39-year-old Unbroken director brought 9-year-old Zahara Jolie-Pitt and 8-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to the set of her Hollywood Reporter photo shoot in November. The sisters weren't interested in seeing their mother pose for the camera, however. "Mom? I saw this thing over there. Can I skateboard on it?" Shiloh asked, referring to a freshly painted cyclorama. Angelina politely declined her daughter's request.

No matter. Shiloh found another way to amuse herself as the magazine's Benjamin Svetkey asked her mother about the moviemaking process. While Angelina discussed her directorial efforts, including In the Land of Blood and the upcoming drama By the Sea, co-starring Brad Pitt, the Jolie-Pitts played Clue.

It's as sure a sign as any that the girls aren't yet interested in doing what their parents do for a living. Of course, both Angelina and Brad have said for years that they have bigger dreams for their six children. "We've always said, if they want to act, we won't let them only act, because it's not enough," the Maleficent star recently told Radio Times. "They'll have to find a real job at the same time. But I'm hoping that when they see all the other things in the world, they'll be inspired to be writers, politicians, activists. They're very individual people, so I imagine they're not going to follow their mom and dad."

Still not convinced?

Angelina and Brad aren't treated like world famous movie stars at home. "If you ask any of the kids about us, I feel like they'd say, 'Let's talk about how Mommy and Daddy are so uncool. That Daddy makes better pancakes than Mommy,'" she recently told People. "That's about their level of interest."

The Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-stars aren't worried about where life will lead their kids—and for good reason. "I never had a plan for my life," Angelina tells The Hollywood Reporter. "I do what I want to do. And if suddenly tomorrow I couldn't do anything, I could deal with that. I'd be happy at home being a mom."
