We always thought Lindsay's leggings obsession had two purposes: She was obviously trying to kick-start a comeback for the '80s staple, which was briefly achieved last season before everyone got sick of 'em.
But we also presumed La Lohan was wearing leggings in an effort to keep warm. Looks like we were wrong on both counts. LiLo has spent the past week in chilly NYC. But instead of adding layers like the rest of us, her leggings have actually gotten more sheer, to the point that they really should be called stockings.
So, there goes the warmth theory—where to next? Is Linds planning to ditch the style altogether and go for a bare-legged look? 'Cause that's tough to achieve, given the season.
Or will she finally come around to what everyone else in the modern world has agreed on: Clothing isn't only fashionable, it's functional, especially in the dead of winter. Whatever she decides, we'll be watching with interest...and in a pair of jeans.
