Could Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher actually be reuniting on the big screen?

We hate to break it to you ladies and gentlemen, but the honest answer may not be what you're hoping for.

Kutcher headed to Twitter Saturday morning where he shared a special preview of a new project he's been working on with his fiancé.

"Get a sneak-peek of my new movie #MoonQuakeLake when you see #AnnieMovie December 19th," he tweeted with a link to the movie's website.

Readers are directed to an official Sony Pictures page where fans can watch a trailer starring the That '70s Show co-stars. So what's this story about?

Sony Entertainment

Kunis plays a woman who "has to go home to the moon" every night making it impossible to hold back moonlit tears. In comparison, Kutcher plays a single man who tries to save his new crush from an unknown future.

Did we mention the twist? Rihanna also stars in the movie and plays a mysterious water creature you have to see to believe.

Yes, we're just as confused as you are.

Some reports suggest the parody trailer will be in Annie when Quvenzhané Wallis' character attends a movie premiere.

But then there's established Hollywood director Phillip Lord's tweet that makes us question if this really is a total fake.

"Proud to unveil our next project," he wrote on Twitter. "Catch a sneak peek when you see #AnnieMovie in theaters December 19th."

How can we not trust the man who helped produce Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and 22 Jump Street? Here's hoping all will be revealed by the end of the week!
