Rosie O’Donnell is making waves in daytime television again. But this time, it's because someone likes her!

Rachael Ray has a tribute to O'Donnell planned for her show tomorrow. But I hear lawyers from Telepictures, which produced O'Donnell's old show, are not too happy about it. Telepictures laywers, I'm told, made some calls to Ray’s team today demanding they pull the all-Rosie show.

Why? Read on.

Telepictures has apparently hit Ray with copyright infringement because they argue that she is simply recreating O’Donnell’s old talk show, which is owned by Telepictures.

But could there be more? “Telepictures also produces Ellen DeGeneres’ show, which is Rachael’s competitor,” a source said. “You do the math.”

A rep for Ray confirms phone calls were exchanged. “We received legal complaints from Telepictures about our tribute to Rosie,” the rep said. “We stand by our show and it will air as scheduled tomorrow.”

A Telepictures rep would not comment about the legal wrangling, but said, “We love Rosie and can’t wait to watch the show tomorrow.”

I'll bet.
