I wish. Still, my favorite Eddie Murphy-in-a-fat-suit movie of the year did snag a nod for Best Makeup. And it had so better win. I was just watching the delightful film for the 8,000th time, and you know what? The Norbit love story is equally gut-wrenching to me as all the lust and romantic hooey in Atonement. Yes, I am completely serious.

More excitement, here we go.

Angelina is shut out! I've said it before and I'll say it again: A Mighty Heart was a mighty poorly executed film. And Angelina Jolie didn't act with anyone—she was on a pedestal in her gauzy, beige outfits. I knew she wouldn't get nominated. It's too much fun to watch her in movies where she is interacting with other actors. Witness Girl, Interrupted.

Poor Hairspray: It makes me sad that such a bouncy, vivacious movie didn't get invited to the party. Plus, had newcomer Nikki Blonsky been nominated, the pressure for the Oscars to go on in all their red carpet glory would have intensified.

The members of the Academy apparently saw Michael Clayton. Yes, the George Clooney film is fantastic and deserving of multiple nods. But I hereby challenge you to find 10 people who saw it. Good luck with that.

You go, Jason Reitman. When anyone talks Juno, they tend to talk in terms of ex-stripper/writer/attention-enjoyer Diablo Cody or budding star Ellen Page. Seriously, it's true. Nobody associates this movie with Reitman, which is messed up since he did, you know, direct it. I'm thrilled he got nominated.

Notice a trend? This year it's all about who's not nominated. Angelina. Keira Knightley. Hell, Into the Wild couldn't get any Best Picture love. So, let's ask ourselves an important question...
