In case you haven't heard, Julia Roberts is the new face of the Givenchy's Spring 2015 campaign—and the shot is absolutely stunning.
The gorgeous image, which was released on Tuesday, sees the mother of three showing off her natural beauty in a sleek tuxedo, and, according to creative director Riccardo Tisci, Roberts was the perfect star for the job because she "represents such a mature woman."
As with any high-end fashion campaign, the Oscar winner is, of course, being compensated for her work, but according to a source, the 47-year-old beauty did not sign on for the monetary gain.
While many celebs receive millions for their work with top designers (Gwyneth Paltrow banked $2 million for her Hugo Boss fragrance campaign), we're told that the August: Osage County star received far less for her deal with Givenchy.
According to a source, Roberts was paid "not a lot" for the endorsement deal, with the insider adding that it's in the six figures and close to the $1 million range (Roberts rep had no comment when contacted about her salary).
And while that may still sound like pretty penny to many, it's not even close to what Jennifer Lawrence is earning—a cool $15 million—for her three year deal with Dior.
So, then why did Roberts choose to participate in the campaign?
"She did it for the high-end luxury association and because it was beautiful imagery shot by Mert & Marcus [Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott], who are the biggest and best photographers," the source explains.
A second source says the same with regards to Roberts earnings, telling E! News it's not likely to be a huge deal, as Givenchy doesn't have the funds to pay big money like other brands such as Dior.
We're also told that, unlike other fashion houses, Givenchy does not pay celebs for their presence at a show, nor do they ever compensate a star for sporting the luxury brand.
"It was not an all-encompassing deal," the insider explained, noting that the deal will most likely require Roberts wearing the label to various events. "It's not like that of Natalie Portman or Charlize Theron for Dior which commands multi-million dollar paychecks."
