Seven seasons. It's been seven seasons of bloody gang wars and violent retaliation, loving man hugs and sloppy cheek kisses, gun running, porn distributing, drug dealing, and above all else, family.

But tonight, it all came to an end when the Sons of Anarchy series finale ended with a bang.

This goes without saying, but we'll still say it: SPOILER ALERT. SPOILER ALERT. SPOILER ALERT.

If you have yet to watch the final moments of the FX biker drama's final episode, "Papa's Goods," turn back now!

While Jax (Charlie Hunnam) had the ability and opportunity to leave Charming for good, by himself, with no loose ends left untied, he chose to go out in a blaze of glory, honoring the club's Mayhem vote on him.

That's right, Jax Teller died, but it was on his own terms and only after he took care of all the bad guys still left standing. After killing the rat Barosky (Peter Weller) and the just-released-from-prison August Marks (Billy Brown), Jax confesses the whole truth about Tara's (Maggie Siff) murder and where to find Gemma's (Katey Sagal) and Unser's (Dayton Callie) bodies to the D.A., and sends his two boys down to Nero's (Jimmy Smits) farm with Wendy (Drea de Matteo).

Then, after he made sure all the club's business was cleaned up and settled, he handed over his president patch to Chibs (Tommy Flanagan), who chose Tig (Kim Coates) as his second, and helped SAMCRO frame his "escape" so the other charters wouldn't punish the club for not killing Jax themselves.

Then Jax drove out on his father's motorcycle to the place on the highway where his father died, and shot at a police car, baiting the police into a huge, epic car chase involving a whole mob of cop cars and motorcycles down the highway for one last, true final ride, before Jax intentionally crashed his bike into an oncoming truck...which just so happened to be driven by Milo (Michael Chiklis), the same trucker who gave Gemma a ride in the penultimate episode!

Everything came full circle in the Sons of Anarchy series finale, and while seeing Jax get a Mayhem vote by his own club and choosing to die was extremely shocking and heartwrenching, it was the perfect series finale.

Do you agree with us, or are you ready to bring a Mayhem vote down on us for even suggesting that? Vote in our poll below!
