Facebook, 2014 Year in ReviewFacebook

We would say spoiler alert, but there really aren't any surprises here.

Facebook announced its Year in Review results, which break down 2014's top trends on the social medium, and in the least surprising announcement to hit the Internet, Frozen, Beyoncé and Game of Thrones each topped the lists in their respective categories.

For the most part, the top 10 movies that were talked about the most on Facebook aren't shocking, but the order in which they appear might surprise you! While Frozen, Guardians of the Galaxy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles took home first, second and third, The Lego Movie found itself in fifth place followed by The Fault in Our Stars in sixth. We didn't realize that blockbuster tearjerkers only qualify for sixth...

Here are the top 10 movies for 2014:

1. Frozen

2. Guardians of the Galaxy

3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

4. Maleficent

5. The Lego Movie

6. The Fault in Our Stars

7. Transformers: Age of Extinction

8. Gone Girl

9. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 1

10. The Purge: Anarchy

Now, the order for the top 10 entertainers will definitely surprise you. Obviously, Queen Bey took first place—as if she would fall anywhere else—but guess who took home 10th? Kim Kardashian! Did that Paper magazine shoot not have people talking as much as we thought it did?! Maybe not as much as all of those sad Bey and Jay Z divorce rumors that swirled for a while.

Here are the top 10 entertainers for 2014:

1. Beyoncé

2. Pharrell Williams

3. Nicki Minaj

4. Taylor Swift

5. Jimmy Fallon

6. Iggy Azalea

7. Katy Perry

8. Pitbull

9. John Legend

10. Kim Kardashian

The only scandal on the top 10 list for TV shows is that Scandal finds itself in 10th place. We assumed Jake and Fitz were enough to make this land in the top three, but apparently dragons, prison and zombies beat out the political drama! Winter might certainly be coming for the characters on Game of Thrones but it's most definitely summer for the cast, as they are receiving accolades left and right!

How I Met Your Mother sits in ninth place, having ended earlier this year on a note that definitely left people in a polarized debate.

Here are the top TV shows for 2014:

1. Game of Thrones

2. Orange Is the New Black

3. The Walking Dead

4. The Big Bang Theory

5. Downton Abbey

6. American Horror Story

7. Sons of Anarchy

8. True Detective

9. How I Met Your Mother

10. Scandal

Facebook's Year in Review top 10 lists were measured by how frequently a topic was mentioned in posts made between January and December 2014. To ultimately compile the list, Facebook posts were aggregated and analyzed anonymously and then ranked to create a snapshot of the year.
