Hmmm...a movie about fish won't take place in the ocean? How does that work?!

Well, it turns out Dory was born and raised at the Marine Biology Institute of California before being released into the wild, so that is where the movie will be set! Taking place several months after its predecessor, Finding Dory has the namesake character living with Marlin and Nemo on the same reef. When Dory accompanies Nemo on a school field trip, memories of her past and family trigger that send her on a journey to California to go and find them.
