Aw, Brian Williams is one proud papa.

The news anchor is reportedly taking the night off from his usual NBC Nightly News broadcast tonight to watch his daughter Allison Williams star in the premiere of the network's musical Peter Pan Live!

Lester Holt will anchor in his absence and Williams will be back in his usual chair on Friday.

There is no studio audience for the show, but that didn't stop the famous father from being front and center to support his girl. "We will be watching the broadcast—immediate family only—sequestered in an undisclosed location—close enough to the production as to burst through the stage door the moment the credits roll," Williams told TVNewser.

Allison said the process of playing Peter Pan is "so fun." "I can only imagine what the next couple of weeks and months are going to bring. I cannot wait," she said on Today.

"We're so excited about the live part of it," she said. "I think that's what makes it so fun." Williams is wearing a wig as Peter Pan, but she offered to cut her hair for the part.

"I have wanted to play Peter Pan since I was about 3 years old, so this is a dream come true," Williams said in a statement when her casting was announced in August.

"It's such an honor to be a part of this adventure, and I'm very excited to get to work with this extraordinarily talented team. And besides, what could go wrong in a live televised production with simultaneous flying, sword fighting and singing?"
