Watch: Are Spelling's Kids Allowed to Watch "True Tori"?

Explosive fights, lots of crying and endless back and forth? Sounds like a pretty standard True Tori episode.

The Lifetime reality series, which has seen the Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott argue over financial woes, McDermott's infidelity and even something as silly as a baked potato, also features the pair's four children—Liam, 7, Stella, 6, Hattie, 3, Finn, 2—from time to time.

So are Tori and Dean's children aware of the often eyebrow-raising content, and furthermore, are they allowed to watch the show?!

"For now, they watch certain scenes we let them see," Tori told E! News when she stopped by the studio on Tuesday. "Definitely let them see the birthday parties and when we go to the pumpkin patch and do things as a family. They are interested in seeing that."

However, Tori added, "They know that they are not allowed to watch the rest of it, because there's adult material and mommy and daddy are working on their relationship and that's maybe something that is not appropriate for them at this age and they understand that."

While Tori and Dean have certainly experienced their fair share of ups and downs, the mother of four revealed that their relationship is now "stronger than it's been in probably the last eight years," and as a result, she does hope to show her children the footage one day.

"When they're adults, I do hope to sit down and share our experience with them and show them the footage," she dished, "And I hope at that moment, I'm able to say, 'This is what mom and dad went through. We survived it. We came out on the other end and we're stronger and better than ever because of it.'"

As the New Year approaches, it's no surprise that Tori is ready to put 2014 in the past.

In addition to the reality show, Spelling has been busy spending the holidays with her family, and as the New Year approaches, it should come as no surprise that Tori is ready to put 2015 in the past. "My hopes for the New Year are that I'm happy this past year is over," she admitted with a laugh. "And I'm just looking towards the future.

"Things are stronger than ever and I'm looking at, like, there's been a little bit of an emotional rollercoaster in our lives as of late," she continued before adding, "And I'm looking to just kind of start the rebuild, rebirth, just going upwards. And I just hope for the health and happiness of my family."

Tune-in to the season finale of True Tori on Tuesday at 9/8c on Lifetime.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
