Big weekend in Utah. The buzz on the streets here is that this is the most crowded fest in history. With the writers' strike effectively shutting down Hollywood, lots of folks have decided to make the trip to Park City.

Oh, and did I forget to mention that this is a film festival? Besides all the free gear and huge parties, Sundance is where true indies can find distribution. The movies that folks are talking about most include The Wackness, starring Sir Ben Kingsley, Mary-Kate Olsen, Method Man and friend of the Lyons Den Aaron Yoo.

You know how I know the film is getting buzz? Harvey Weinstein attended the after-party for the premiere.

Also on tongues this year is Bottle Shock, with Chris Pine and Rachael Taylor, and The Great Buck Howard, with Emily Blunt and Colin Hanks (along with dad Tom).

Oh, and shout-out to Jane Lynch, one of the funniest women in Hollywood. I ran into her on the street, and she couldn't have been nicer.

Another Utah report coming soon...
