We can only imagine how happy Susan Boyle is feeling today!

The "I Dreamed a Dream" singer, who first became a household name after auditioning for Britain's Got Talent, appears to have found her very first boyfriend at 53.

In a new interview with The Sun, Boyle tells the story of meeting an American doctor during her recent tour. After enjoying a romantic dinner where the man in question behaved as "the perfect gentleman," the two decided to pursue a relationship.

"I don't want to say any more about who he is right now as that would be unfair on him," she told the publication (via The Mirror). "All I'll say is we are around the same age and he was a very nice guy."

Awww! Snaps for Susan.

"It's very early days so we'll see what happens," she added. "I hope he comes over."

During her memorable 2009 audition, Boyle left the judges speechless thanks to her impressive voice and her shocking confession that she had "never been kissed."

While she later shared a "lovely" smooch on the big screen in the period film The Christmas Candle, nothing beats the real deal.

"It was lovely," she admitted after making the project. "I didn't know about the kissing scene when I signed up, but I wasn't complaining."

With the holidays quickly approaching and another tour scheduled in support of her sixth album Hope, Boyle has a lot to look forward to in the coming months.

As they always say, good things happen to those who wait!
