President Barack Obama may not be the commander-in-chief of Homeland fans anymore.

Beguiling plot twists be darned, apparently, Prince William and Kate Middleton are also really into the intense Showtime series!

"He said, 'Catherine and I are huge Homeland fans," Damian Lewis told reporters Wednesday, referring to Prince William after the royal honored the English actor with an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). "He said, 'You appeared again the other night briefly, and we all got very excited.' Which is true—but it was also on Sunday night, which means he is absolutely up to date with the latest episode, and I'm amazed they have time for that."

So perhaps Will and Kate aren't binge-watchers, instead preferring ther telly dramas to unfold on a week-by-week basis.

Lewis, whose [if we describe him it'll spoil everything] Nicholas Brody is no longer, er, active on the Emmy-winning series, also said that he was "stupefied" when he found out he'd be receiving an OBE.

"I had no idea, so it was a big, big surprise. It was a bit like being asked to be a prefect," he added. "Now I have to be extremely responsible."

And for those of you who have been going through Brody withdrawal, fear not. Lewis has a number of projects in the pipeline, including a TV miniseries adaptation of Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall, in which he plays Henry VIII, and the Civil War miniseries To Appomatox, where he'll be returning to yet another battlefield but this time as Union Army Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman.
