With their rocky road to romance now firmly in the past, Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman are preparing to spend their first holiday season with their son, Eric, whom they wecolmed on Valentine's Day. This year's Thanksgiving and Christmas will also mark Cowell's first holidays as a new father (Lauren has an 8-year-old son named Adam from her previous marriage to Andrew Silverman), and according to a source, life couldn't be better for the X Factor boss.
"They're all in London for the [Thanksgiving] holiday," a source tells E! News, revealing how the couple plans to spend the busy holiday season. "Lauren's doing all the cooking—she's going all out. Even though they're overseas, they still celebrate all the American holidays."
While Cowell may have first seemed like an unlikely candidate for fatherhood, the 55-year-old Brit seems to be loving life as a dad, repeatedly sharing adorable pics of his son on social media. The happy couple, who was busy planning for Silverman's baby shower around this time last year, will also be traveling with their son for Christmas, ensuring the holidays are centered around quality family time.
"For Christmas, they'll be on holiday," the insider dished. "Most likely Barbados, that's where they always go. Simon loves it there."
As for the status of the pair, who famously coupled up when Silverman was technically still married to her ex (a former friend of Cowell's)?
"It's a happy time," the source said. "Everything's good."
