Just when we thought Austin Mahone and Camila Cabello were going strong in the romance department, the Fifth Harmony singer decided to drop a major bombshell to fans Monday afternoon.
As it turns out, the young couple has already broken up.
"We're actually not together anymore," Cabello told KISS 96.1 radio. "Hey, things happen."
Although she would not elaborate on any details, the former X-Factor contestant said the split happened "recently" and joked that she needs "some mistletoe action."
The news comes just a couple of weeks after the 17-year-old revealed her relationship status on Watch What Happens Live.
When host Andy Cohen asked which member of Fifth Harmony was Mahone's girlfriend, Cabello replied, "That would be me...He's a really good guy."
She added, "I think we've known each other for a really long time. We've known each other for like a year and a half now, since we were on X-Factor."
Mahone also wasn't shy about expressing his love for his special girlfriend. In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, the "What About Love" singer gushed about his "beautiful" gal pal.
"She's an amazing girl," he told the publication. "We have the best time together."
With such bright futures ahead for both performers, we have no doubts these two will find a special someone sooner rather than later. Good luck you two!
