The actress was joined by her rocker boyfriend at the Saturday Night Live afterparty at Ruby Foo's following her hosting gig—and, as usual, they looked very happy to be together.
"They got there around 1:30 [a.m.] and spent the entire time together," a source tells E! News about the gathering. "They're very cute together, very intimate. There wasn't overt PDA, you can just tell they're really into each other."
As a couple "they moved around a lot, chatting up different people in small groups," the insider added. "They stayed about two hours."
So it was a late night for the pair!
This go-round was Diaz's fourth time hosting SNL and first since 2005, and she was also "laughing and joking around with a bunch of the female cast members," a second source told us. "They were riding high from the 'Back Home Ballers' sketch. Everyone thought they killed it."
The pretaped "Back Home Ballers" bit, a "Chronicles of Narnia"-reminiscent rap tune about the suburbia-specific everyday stuff that some lady "ballers" get up to when they go home for the holidays, was easily one of the funnier parts of the hit-and-miss show, which also saw Diaz spoofing the upcoming Annie reboot that she stars in as Miss Hannigan and playing a cast member of of a stereotypically pretentious, experimental high school theater production.
Madden is due to remain in New York to perform during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with brother Joel Madden, so perhaps Diaz will also be spending the holiday in the Big Apple.
