TwitterKaty Perry was NOT happy about being photographed at the beach in Australia this weekend. However, she did share on Twitter her own pic showing herself wearing a bikini during her visit.
The 30-year-old pop star, who has shared similar pics on social media before, is currently on her Prismatic world tour and began performing in the country on Nov. 7.
This past Saturday afternoon Australia time, hours before she performed in Sydney, she unleashed on her Twitter page a 142-word rant against unnamed celebrity photographers in the country who she says had followed her to a beach. She says they ignored her pleas to leave her alone.
Here is her rant, in full, which was posted in the form of a picture and which was retweeted more than 10,000 times:
"Australian PRESS: You should be ashamed of your paparazzi & tabloid culture. Your paparazzi have no respect, no integrity, no character. NO HUMANITY. I was stalked by many grown men today as I tried to take a quiet walk to the beach. These men would not stop as I pleaded over & over to let me have my space. Many other people stopped to try to help but the paps continued to laugh at me & hold their barrels up & shoot."
"They told me to make a 'deal' with them. Give them a bathing suit shot and they would leave me be. This is PERVERTED & disgusting behavior that should NEVER be tolerated, especially by people who do NOT want this. I will NEVER make a deal with paparazzi and I will not befriend anyone who perpetuates this kind of behavior."
A day and a half later, on Sunday around 10 p.m. Australia time, Perry shared on her Twitter page photos of herself with a group of friends, including one that shows them on a yacht, where she is posing in a lilac bikini.
In addition to spending time on the beach and on the water, Perry also took time during her Australia visit to complete a personal challenge.
She also posted on her Instagram page a photo of herself standing and smiling on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
"I DID IT," she said. "Finally, after all these years talkin bout it I done climbed your bridge tonight Sydney! Thanks @bridgeclimb."
Perry had also shared another Instagram photo of herself in a bikini on Nov. 17 while standing on a yacht that reads "Hayman Island." The island is located near Central Queensland, Australia.
"G2G my whip is here," she said.
Perry is set to continue performing in Australia through mid-December, after which she heads to nearby New Zealand for two concerts in Auckland. She will then take a break for the holidays and will resume touring in February 2015, performing in several countries in Europe, including Spain, Germany and Sweden, through March.
